the amusement of finding a new minion has returned. i have a temp for the moment, and the student intern starts on monday. i'd very much like to hire someone i know is clueful -- which is an awful lot harder than you'd think. i need to find someone who is going to work well with me -- which is probably much easier than you'd think. to that end -- helpful job-search hint #5: don't use a stock answer for your qualifications.

from candidate #1: MCCS, IBM/MAC proficient: Adware, Reconciliation, Quickbooks, Kintera, Raiser's Edge, Windows 95/98/00/XP/NT; Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project, Access, BDS, Soundscan, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash Pro 8, Quicken, Outlook, HTML, E-Mail and Internet savvy including highly skilled with various search engines. Diligent, resourceful and pro-active. An outstanding "traditional" work ethic, excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with an upbeat, positive "problem-solving" attitude.
